INSIDE VIEW 2

Since our last Inside View we have being quite busy. Here are a few things that have being happening at Real Football Academy since you were last with us.

ACADEMY SESSIONS
Our Academy sessions have being running on a weekly basis. All groups have made great progress over the first nine weeks. Our junior academy session on a Friday night are doing extremely well and there are for sure some little gems in this group. Both our Development Squad and our Senior Squad are on a Monday eve with both groups working hard on a weekly basis on different aspects of their game both as a group and individually. Our Senior ladies group on a Wednesday evening, even with the small numbers is proving to be a very productive hour. With five of these players also playing with our club side Real FA Swans, we can really see the benefits of this extra hour on a Wednesday eve.

REAL FA SWANS
Our Real FA Swans have had three pre-season games thus far and all games have thrown up different challenges. With The Swans trying to create a new playing style and identity we have used all of our nineteen strong squad in all of our games. Following on from our first match report and win against Lucan Utd, The Swans recorded wins against Wilsons Hospital School and more recently Home Farm last Sunday. We now eagerly await the start of the league season whilst working on our style of play and individual physical conditioning.
As part of our new club we have also got our underage programme up and running. Sixteen to eighteen girls or mini swans as they have named themselves participate in our coaching programme on a Thursday eve 6pm-7pm. These minis are aged between six and nine years of age and we hope that they are the future of our club side.

FAI-MSL-ETP TRIALS
Over the past few weeks we have had a number of players take part in various trials at all different level. Adam from our Senior Boys Squad came through 4 rounds of trials but unfortunately just missed out on the cut for the Midlands Kennedy Cup Squad. Despite the disappointment this was a huge achievement and milestone for Adam who in the last year has exploded onto the scene and has become technically better and more confident. Adam was also selected as captain of his club side by his team mates.

Three of our Real FA Swans took part in FAI U14 ETP trial last week and have just being invited back for a second trial next weekend. Again great progress for the girls who although u14 will be playing club football at u16. We will also have the same girls attend the Midlands Gaynor Cup u14 Trial in the coming week.

Finally as we featured last week Tumelo will be heading to Glasgow on his midterm break to train with Celtic. Having spoken to Tumelo during the week we know that he is extremely excited and looking forward to his trip.

That's all from us at the moment. Remember you can stay up to date with all the action across all our social media Twitter @WeAreRFA, Instagram Real Football Academy and Facebook Real Football Academy.
